Hi, I’m Tom Von Lahndorff. There are many websites on the internet. This one is mine.
I graduated from Parsons School of Design in the 90s and have been working mostly in tech since then. Most of my work has been involved with web design and web development for some large media corporations as well on my own. I thoroughly enjoy the work that I do and still find it fun and interesting after doing it for many years. Although I’ve worked in management positions I never stop coding. There’s always something new and cool to learn.
But this website isn’t really about all that.
This website is more about the things I do outside of work, mainly music and art.
I play guitar, bass and drums and enjoy writing and recording original music. I’m not a great drummer so I leave that to software. I have a kit in my garage that I bang in every now and again. It also gets used for jam sessions with some of my old buddies. Playing drums is a lot of fun. I mostly play guitar and a little bass every now and again. I post about playing, gear, songwriting and recording on this website. Music in general too.
In addition to playing, writing and recording music I like to draw. I’ve been drawing since I was a kid and, like music, it’s always a challenge. I do most of my art on the iPad nowadays with the Procreate app but I also break out the brushes and acrylics once in a while for some random projects. I post some of my art on this website as well.
If you’d like follow me on social media, don’t bother trying. I’d rather spend my time on creative endeavors than waste it on the giant trash fires that are Twitter and Facebook. If I have anything to share it will be here.
